Probably used for special events, the Residence Inn had a rooftop terrace that was open to all guests. Looking north towards the Frost Bank tower over the roofline

Shadows from the overhang didnt do this justice, but the rooftop terrace had an impressive mural depicting many of the music and movie historic sights of Downtown Austin. Reminded me of one of those hand-drawn maps that are sometimes used for advertising
I liked how the mural showed movies and music 'flowing' through the streets of Austin
The Ron Paul supporters were out trying to drum up support along Congress Avenue
The Stateside Theatre where the Nerdist Podcast Live Show will be later in the evening
