AK2006 -- South Down the Parks Highway

After the Fairbanks walk and lunch in North Pole, it was time to head back south down to Anchorge. . .

A closeup of the birch trees that line the Parks Highway about 50 +/- miles south of Fairbanks. . .

. . .im not sure what these weird growths were on the side of the trees, but nearly every one of the birch had at least one. . .

. . .the sun breaking through the clouds looking SE from the Parks Highway south of Fairbanks. That's the Tanana River in the distance.
