AK2006 -- Denali Wildlife

After hearing about the stellar wildlife watching in Alaska, i was a little disapointed just how few i actually saw. Other than a moose i nearly hit north of Fairbanks, these critters at Denali were the first ones I saw over the first 4 days of the trip. . .

On the first visit north, a random moose crossing in front of the car on the Denali Park Road. . .

. . .he just doesn't seem to give a crap that im there. . .

. . .on the second visit south to Denali, i found this mushroom on a light hike. it looks it's was some critter's snack. i wonder if they're now high?. . .

. . .random squirrel darting across the park road near the Teklanika River rest stop. . .

. . .and he hid in the trees when i got out of the car. . .

. . .a raven on top of a spruce. . .

. . .a few snow hares wandering off the side of park road. . .

. . .“crap crap crap -- texas driver coming”. . .

. . .random tracks in the sand, i think wolf? . . .

. . .i think these were small bear tracks. . .

. . .these looked like small wolf tracks, or my dogs followed me up from Denton. . .

. . .not big enough to be a moose - maybe a deer or elk track?

. . .i *think* more bear tracks at the top left. . .

. . .another track, but i dont have a clue what it is. . .
