ROAD2002 (NC) -- Bodie Island Lighthouse

This is the current Bodie Island Lighthouse, about 30 miles north of the Cape Hatteras Light. It was built using generally the same plans, and uses the stripe paintjob so it can be identified easily for navigiation.

Some quick shots from the outside. . .along with the lighthouse keeper's house at the base. (It's since been turned into a museum). . .

. . . View of the Watch Room Deck. . .

. . . The lighthouse keeper's house has been turned into a museum with several exhibts of about local lighthouses and maritime history. . .

. . . These night shots didnt really turn out, but they're worth keeping.
