A Man and His Plane
One of the neighbors was testing a new toy in the field beside the Fort. Looked like an old kid's pedal car, but motorized with an Navy prop plane shell. Looked like fun and reminded me of something I would see in a small town parade.

Preparing for engine start at the taxiway apron
Heading into the Terminal Ramp area
Coming up to the gate
Taxiing for takeoff
Stoping at the hold short line and finishing the preflight checklist
Starting the takeoff roll
Rejecting takeoff and coming to a stop
Checking something that clearly didnt seem right
Heading back to the runway to try again

SANS2012 -- Random Aircraft at the Miami North Terminal
Looking out across a variety of American Airlines metal parked at the recently completed Miami North Terminal.

Looks like a 737, a 767, another 737, a 757 and then yet another 737. Hard to tell. Good day to fly into MIA

Mocksee Plotting
Mocksee has found comfortable a perch in the home office to keep an eye on the neighbor dog. She's probably plotting to do what she does every day and night, trying to take over the world. But alas, she'd never admit it

One day. . .

Residence Inn Origami
Housekeeping at the Round Rock Residence Inn has got some artistic game. This was a nice surprise. One I've never seen this in real life before, and wasn't expecting this at a relaxed non-ritzy hotel.

Proudly basking in the western sun
A little cygnet hiding on the bathroom counter

El Paso 777
Sure, AA doesn't actually fly anything like this to El Paso. (Details, Details)

I wonder how many kids walk up and try to play with it.
The name of the plane is Flagship El Paso. Probably why it's not at the Amarillo airport, I'm guessing.

Views from Airports -- Sunset from DFW Parking Garage
Got back from Austin a few minutes early and had some time to kill while Alicia was trying to get through some heavier than normal traffic to pick me up from DFW Airport, so I perched myself on top of the parking garage above gate A24 and took in the sunset

Grackles circling the infield parking area with the moonset in the background
Looking west with the sun setting behind the light poles
Contrail from a flight at cruising altitude
An American Eagle Regional Jet taking off to the north from the west side runways
Another American Eagle regional jet heading north
An American MD83 heading north
A US Airways 737 heading north
The moon setting behind the light pole
An American 737 taking off to the North from the eastern runways
Another American Eagle Regional Jet
My ride is approaching
